Thanks for the information ad detailed response. Much appreciated.

Sounds reasonable to me. I suppose you're right - releasing everything
in one bang is probably not the best idea. We will release something -
just have to decide what.

The only reasons I can imagine we have our bug tracking spreadsheet
set to private mode is -

a) We don't want random people editing it (easy to handle in Google
Code)
b) We don't want students looking at the bug list, if they stumble
across it - what if they find a security bug in the list and try to
exploit it?

Anyway - thank you very much for your time. Google is the bomb :)
