Hi scooby, I believe if you read the thread Nathaniel pointed you at it was taken down because of the upload of binaries. I would say specifically winrar which is in no way open source.
However besides that I do believe that tueidj over exaggerated the facts a little. My comments would be :- 1) I never saw any Nintendo code in the repository and you did provide source for your part of the project. 2) Yes several bins were added most open source GPL, at least a link to the source should have been added as stated in the GPL. 3) There was a MSVS Runtime exe uploaded. I do think Microsoft's EUL allows redistribution of this (heck half the software built with MSVC in the last 10 years would not run without it ;) ). The only iffy binary for me was winrar. 3) To quote tueidj - "They exist for the sole purpose of exploiting a weakness in Nintendo's servers to circumvent paying for additional game content"' ???? Where did he ever get that impression, sorry but that's a total lie. In fact I do believe he has developed Wii homebrew code himself, there is nothing illegal in writing homebrew code. I did browse over your code and could not see why he'd think that. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Project Hosting on Google Code" group.
