2010-12-11 Here is the Same stuff as was on sourceforge. I have written them two years ago, that they don't have a way how to report at them about a closed source or OS breaking projects. Finally, at 2010 they have answered that they have implemented "Report inappropriate content". I've gone to use it, and found, that it doesn't even say - to whom this report will be done (to the project authors, or a site operator, or someone else).
Here is a similar thing; the report ability actually does exist in the Hosting FAQ, but you have to press links few times to go at it. (who doesn't know - will spend much time to find) The chain, when going from a project looks like this at the bottom press "Project Hosting Help" you will appear at http://code.google.com/p/support/ press "FAQ" you'll go at http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/FAQ and there is a mail address, where to report : google-code- [email protected] try to find it without this manual :) What to write to that address, of what form, that your letter wouldn't be declined - that is another story, which I can't explain. A particular project is http://code.google.com/p/fileexplorer-j2me/ . On the page you may even doubt in my words that it is of closed source. There even it looks like its author fairly thinks that his project is open source :) However, there is no src in the (single only at this moment) released file "FileExplorer_3.0_Alpha.zip"; no source also in the SVN folders. Meanwhile there is no decent report system, other people should feel free to add project names at this thread. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Project Hosting on Google Code" group.
