G'day, I'm getting a 502 Gateway error as well - also using svnsync.
The repo is https://the-fascinator.googlecode.com/svn . I'm 1965 revisions in and it's become increasingly worse over the past 100 or so revisions. The issue appears to happen when the revision contains more than a few files. As of rev 1965 nothing seems to be getting through.
