Thank you for the help. The issue turned out to be a protocol one. I
was trying to access my Google Code repository using HTTP and I needed
to be using HTTPS. Once I switch to the following command it all
worked:
svnsync init https://spiffyui.googlecode.com/svn/ svn://localhost
