Thanks for clarification! The workflow you suggest is pretty much the one I am using already. I was hoping for a simpler one.
That being said, at the moment the project is not that big. If it grows, then perhaps the issue tracker API will help. Still, it's a pity that the issue tracker is so limited. Refactoring does not only happen in code!
