I have a project with a contributor whose email address is something like [email protected] However, this person used to have the address [email protected] and they were added to the project as a contributor with their old googlemail.com address.
I've tried (on Chrome and Firefox) removing the user and adding them back with the correct gmail.com address but when I do this the old address with the googlemail.com suffix is saved. This causes a problem when support Issues are added to the project and tries to CC this contributor because their [email protected] email address appears in the autocomplete box but using that email address results in a "Invalid Cc username" error and the Issue cannot be saved. The person submitting the Issue has to know about this and manually correct the email address themselves. Has anyone seen anything like this? Should it be submitted to Project Hosting as an Issue or is there something wrong with how I have configured the project?
