Hi Martin, What link are you clicking "Save link as..." on? The link from the source browser (http://code.google.com/p/bsudaq/source/browse/) goes to an HTML page that happens to have a .pdf extension: http://code.google.com/p/bsudaq/source/browse/preamp.pdf
The "View raw file" link on that page should lead to http://bsudaq.googlecode.com/hg/preamp.pdf, which I've confirmed is a working PDF link.
