With six figures of projects hosted it's not the case that the whole
community fits in a single dance hall the way we used to.
My favorite source of "How do I attract attention to my awesome open source
project" remains Karl Fogel's* excellent Producing Open Source
Software<http://producingoss.com>text (here's
the relevant chapter <http://producingoss.com/en/announcing.html>... which
might be out of date, but if it is: the book itself is open source content
and you can suggest a patch!).
