Greetings Google Code Hosting: I've got a software project called EMAP and want to host it on google code. EMAP is a software synth and I'll give you more details about it in reply.
ISSUE: There is already a current owner of the project 'emap' on google code, but it appears to be abandoned or some kind of spam. I tried contacting the owners email "[email protected]" but did not get a reply. That user owns a bunch of other projects on the site and none of them seem to be actual projects. Anyway, I want to host EMAP on google code now because I just added another project / library there http://code.google.com/p/jockmixer/ which EMAP can use. Is it possible that I can use the project name 'emap' on google code? I think it is a fun project and could be useful to audio developers / musicians / sound enthusiasts. If not, I guess I will create the project as emap-synth or maybe you have some suggestion? Thanks for your information.
