The most recent revision of trunk is around 575MB. About 80% of the
files by weight are PNG, and about 15% are OGG. These are the art and
sound assets of our game, and are found in sc2/content. The layout of
the code and content was inherited from the project we forked from.
It has been convenient to have all these files version controlled in
the same place since changes in the content often need to be reflected
in changes in code and vice-versa.

There has been some churn in these files. And we have had the
occasional version control mishap in the past where files were
unnecessarily added. But I think it's a bit late to obliterate these
from the history now. It is also true that we maintain a branch for
incoming changes from the original project. I don't know what this
adds to the weight.

We still have some breathing space. Migrating our repository and
developers to a new repository would be a pain though, so I'd prefer
to defer that as much as possible.
