Oh, well, at least I asked. :) By the way, you mean you won't do anything like this? Or you won't do this particular idea until some mistakes are fixed? (e.g. misuse made impossible) > Projects are welcome to ask for donations of course Yeah, but that's not really a donation. That's more like a small short kickstarter project. It's close to what free+pro apps do on android (play) market now, but it not only allows people to try and pay if they like, but also give them a feedback channel to say what they want to see next. Projects can't do that without some special integration. It's a pain to manually register a separate donation button for every issue in a tracker. It should be easy. Nobody would use it if it is that hard to use... > but when a similar system of tips and donations was implemented in > sourceforge, it was comically underused and led to imo deep divides > within projects that have more than 1 developer. I guess I missed the moment sourceforge added such feature. And I can't find it now. Just general donation button, but no way to request a specific feature and pay just for it. Can you point to anything about it, some examples or at least how this feature was called at sf.net, so I could read about it and learn from their mistakes? -- Serge -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Project Hosting on Google Code" group.
