I am having same problem as Ron had. I am using SmartSVN 7.5.4 and when i try to commit i am getting 401 Authorization Required. Even after I enter the correct credentials it wouldn't take me through. But I know there is nothing wrong with credentials. One more thing, How do i edit just the repository so it would point to https instead of http. coz mine is poiinting to http.
