Hi, i dont really know the main problems and reasons Google Code was facing
when decided to close Downloads at the end of the year. But i will like to
make a request to choose a less intrusive approach than forcing everyone to
clone your repo, like allowing at least just one file per 6 months download
(being extremely cautious), or if it is affordable one file per month, that
will
suffice for me as a developer and distributor, hence i think will suffice for a
lot of the developers/projects yet making it still more pleasant and
attractive for everyone users/developers.

On another direction, more of a suggestion also, i think that if Google
would/or decides to monetize the space like Youtube it could also make it more
affordable to maintain.

Note that as developer, using cvs, Downloads makes no difference to me, just
makes the work of users accessing my software less easy.

Users: Please, confirm your adhesion to this request to form a more powerful
and valuable voice showing the interest in this to happen.

Google Code: Please, consider one such solution in that direction, knowing the
causes to lead to that decision that still i can understand.

Even without Downloads, Google Code makes for a wonderful project hosting
space to me. If the final decision keeps without changing i would like to know
if there is work on some sort of integration with Google Drive to offer more
directly the downloads in a seamless way like right now. Optimally, a
GoogleCode/Project folder in Google Drive that maps to "Downloads".

Thanks for giving me the possibility to express myself, and for your patience.
