When migrating to Github due to the recent announcement, I followed the
guide by exporting the project and setting it as moved in the admin tab.
Unfortunately the documentation did not warn that the project would be
unavailable in read-only form on Google Code. The exporter is unable to
complete once the project is not visible. The "publish project" button that
appears simply 404s the project site. If the move URL is set to empty or
the Google Code project url, it simply shows an invalid website for the
redirect.

I'd like to unmove my project and instead add a custom message.
