The qualification round starts at 2nd September at 23:00 UCT for everyone, lasting 24hrs. The time you selected when signing up for GCJ is for the Online Round 1 which is for those who passed the qualification round, you'll probaly be notified of your allocated time when the time comes. By the way, you could've known all this just by reading te rules page on the GCJ site ( http://code.google.com/codejam/rules.html ), all you should know is there.
