The contest rules say that any compiler/developer environment used must be freely available. But, it also mentions "Matlab interpreter commands" on the contest info page, seeming to imply that the use of Matlab is acceptable for this contest.
So, which is it? Can one code in Matlab for this competition? What about similar programs, like Mathematica?
