What's your version of firefox? Do you have addons like noscript/
adblock? Does your distribution allow you to reinstall a package?
Maybe your firefox installation got corrupt and reinstall is
necessary.

Your issue with konqueror is also very strange.

Perhaps you should do a memcheck ?
