I can confirm this. He's a UK citizen, but SA permanent resident. A number of the sub-Sahara participants originally from outside SA competed from SA actually. Which means penetration outside of Egypt/SA is even worse than it might appear. :-/ I also wonder what happened to all those Kenyans who registered when only one qualified.
