OK, it's possible that this isn't deliberate. I suspect that this derives from http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playground also being hosted on code.google.com; indeed, they seem to share that particular permission bit, which is harmless unless you a) go to that site, and b) don't want them to know your email address.
