There's another way to look at the lawn patterns question (Problem B). Every 
square must be equal to the max of it's row or equal to the max of its column 
(or both). Any violation of this (i.e. a square that is less than the max of 
both row and column) makes the lawn pattern impossible. I don't think this is 
any more efficient than the simulation recommended in the official analysis, 
but I think it's a bit more elegant :-)
