We are not talking about making getting a t-shirt easier, but about making it
depend less on the silly time factor. As a side effect it will also motivate
problem setters to design their problems to avoid a huge amount of people tied
with the same score at 1000-th place (Even though they already have some
success with this, seeing at this year and past results).

If we factor in that the next codejam will have more people in it, then even if
we increase the number of people that get a t-shirt by 100 next year, it would
still be a harder thing to do than 1000 this year.who get a t-shirt next year.
---------------------
Something that gcj does well is that it gives less importance to time than
Topcoder and Codeforces. In TopCoder, a better than average speed in easy
problem gives better score than a lower than average medium problem. Even in
cases where the medium is magnitudes more difficult. That is non-sense. In
codeforces, the time you spend in the first problem significantly affects your
score in *all* problems.
