Hi,

Why can't those who have advanced to Round 2 participate in sub-rounds 1B and 
1C at all? I think that it would be better if they could participate 
unofficially (this is like participating normally, except that their results 
are not considered when determining who advances to Round 2).

Do you think that this is a good idea? Some other well-known competitions, such 
as TopCoder Open, allow that kind of unofficial participation (by means of 
parallel rounds), and it works well for them. In contrast, it is hard to find 
another competition that disallows participation for having already advanced to 
the next round.
