The links to schemas.google.com describe the XML schemas for the API.

You need to use the API server instead, for example:
http://www.google.com/m8/feeds/contacts/[email protected]/full

You can find more information in the following page:
http://code.google.com/apis/contacts/docs/3.0/developers_guide_protocol.html

We have Client Libraries that would help you avoid using the XML
protocol directly if you are familiar with any of this programing
languages:
http://code.google.com/apis/gdata/clientlibs.html
