Hi! There were a few posts on this issue in June/July, and Julian said the team was working on an improvement of the google contacts UI and/or the implementation of heuristics to map the structured and formatted address fields.
In short, the problem is that client apps that only know structured addresses face big challenges to implement a synchronization with google contacts. The API v3.0 knows structured address fields, but relying on these is dangerous since updates to the address infos by the user in the google UI destroy all structured address info. Can google provide any info about when what kind of solution will be implemented? Will the google UI show the structured address? Will there be heuristics? When?
