Here is a much simpler entry that came from production that threw the
same exception.  The only thing I've changed are the actual values of
the name, the rest is as it printed out:

        <atom:category scheme='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#kind'
                term='http://schemas.google.com/contact/2008#contact' />
        <gd:name xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005'>
                <gd:familyName>Smith</gd:familyName>
                <gd:fullName>Jill Smith</gd:fullName>
        </gd:name>
</atom:entry>
