Why is this, that android users can do that easily, and others can't do that? Could seesmic web be of any help? We would love to have support for that, but unfortunately, this issue is not on our end. If you manage to programmatically retrieve contacts from Facebook, Twitter or other social network, you will then be able to use the Google Contacts API to programmatically sync those with your Contacts list.
