New information has come to light: I posted a question on stack overflow<http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7433556/jquery-jsonp-ajax-authentication-header-not-being-set/7433791#7433791> asking how to set the header. The answer I go points to an answer on another question which reports that you cannot modify the headers on a JSONP request<http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3350778/modify-http-headers-for-a-jsonp-request> .
What now? Do I need to use the Google contacts API JS Library<http://code.google.com/apis/contacts/docs/1.0/developers_guide_js.html>? Is the API set up to support cross-origin resource sharing?
