I have an application that adds and updates contact information to gmail from an external source. It adds a contact to gmail and includes an extended property to store a record identifier. Updates to the external source are matched to gmail by the record identfier in the extended property to keep gmail up to date with the external source. This is all working perfectly fine. New contacts can be added and updated and they appear perfectly in gmail.
But when you have an andriod phone syncing with gmail, the updates (such as a change to the contact name) do not get to the phone. New contacts make it to the phone but updates do not. If I update a contact name in the gmail web interface, it will get to the phone. If the update comes from the api, it does not. I believe this is a recent issue. I am pretty sure it was working previously. Has anyone else seen this? I am using the .net api Google.GData.Contacts v1.9.0.0 I have an LG-VM701 with android version 2.3.4 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Contacts, Shared Contacts and User Profiles APIs" group.
