Sorry about the delay in getting back to you! I can assure you that
Contacts API does support OAuth 2.0 but you might have to specify the token
in the request header:

GET https://www.google.com/m8/feeds/contacts/default/full
Authorization: Bearer <OAUTH_2_0_ACCESS_TOKEN>

You can try this behavior on OAuth
