Hello Jeffrey, A contact belongs to the "Other Contacts" group when it has no group assigned to it. To move a contact from the Other contacts group, or create a contact in a specific group, simply modify the contact's groupMembershipInfo element:
http://code.google.com/apis/contacts/docs/3.0/developers_guide.html#GroupMembership The groupMembershipInfo element can be set when creating a contact which will create the contact directly inside the specified groups.
