When using the Contacts API and fetching the roster (contact list), the Full Name is only available on a few of the contacts, even though it is shown in the chat list when logging into Gmail / Google Apps. For most of the contacts, only the e-mail address is provided.
If I go into Gmail and manually edit a contact's fullname, the fullname for this contact then becomes available through the Contacts API.
