Position Title : Sr. QA Engineer Location : San Francisco, CA Duration : Full Time Job Description: Develop QA strategy, establish testing scope, define QA timelines, identify resource requirement, and provide QA support for desktop and engineering applications and projects. Provide QA support for 5 or more engineering projects with aggressive deadlines, and with varying degrees of complexity and size. Supervise 2 or more QA engineers located local or remote. Review project documents and artifacts, and translate them into test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases. Test application packages and patches on desktops and servers both locally and on virtual environments. Develop test strategy for migration projects, and coordinate testing for engineering projects. Lead Automation efforts, develop automation frameworks, develop and execute automation scripts, and maintain automation suites. Liaise between project teams, business users, and QA engineers to ensure that testing is effective, efficient, and comprehensive. Define QA metrics and provide weekly QA status for projects. Lead QA testing efforts, manage issues, assesses defects, recommend workarounds, and manage bug triage meetings. Proactively ensure a QA presence in project meetings where details pertinent to QA are discussed. Skills and Experience At least 12 years of experience in Quality Assurance. At least 8+ years experience in translating requirements into test strategy, detailed test plans, and test cases. At least 5+ years in leading QA engineers with defining tasks, managing workload, and providing necessary oversight. Knowledge of LAN topology, routers, hubs, switches and network protocols, including WAN/Frame Relay, and TCP/IP, IPX. Working knowledge Windows desktop operating systems (Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7), and the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory. Knowledge of VMWare workstation/server. Experience in Symantec Ghost (Ghostcast Server)/imaging technology. Familiarity with VDI and virtualization technologies. At least 3+ years in building and imaging desktops, laptops, and servers along with testing application packages and patches. At least 3+ years experience supporting and coordinating UAT testing. Experience with application/software rollouts using automated software distribution tools (SMS, SCCM, • Tivoli, Altiris, Marimba, Radia, etc.). At least 4+ years' experience designing and implementing test automation using Selenium or other testing frameworks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and outstanding attention to detail. Familiarity with mobile application testing on iOS and Android platforms is a PLUS. Certification(s) in testing is a PLUS.
