At the moment there is no way to enable this for your own gadgets. The
only thing you can do is wait for updates to Google Desktop and always
check the Release Notes to see what new features are available.

That you recognized the smoother fonts and would like to enable them
yourself should show the Google Desktop developers that there is
demand for the feature and it is well received. Just be patient for
now.
