Hello,

I created a gadget for my univercity to display the exam results, but
I have a problem. It works just fine at my Debian machine but not at
my Windows one. Here is what i have at the momment :
It downloads a web site (httpRequest) and store the contents at a
variable. Then I edit the variable and diplay it at the pluginHelper
as html. To edit the variable i use some replace/slice etc with Greek
letters. My problem is that the content that I get from the
httpRequest (on Windows only) has "squares" instaid of Greek letters,
so my replaces don't work.

my encoding at main.js (and other files) is UTF-8 and the content of
the site is <meta content="text/html; charset=windows-1253" http-
equiv="content-type">. While editing the variable I also replace the
above meta tag from windows-1253 to utf-8 with successful results at
Debian (but I don't think that this replacement does any difference).
Do you have any ideas for making the gadget cross-platform?

you can find my gadget here : http://linuxteam.cs.teilar.gr/~forfolias/CopyKa.gg

Thanks in advance and sorry for my English.
