My external Western Digital USB MyBook drive has failed. I don't exactly recall all of what was on the drive, and want to find out the names of the files (hopefully) from the Google Desktop index (if they have not been deleted from the cached index already).
Anyone got any tools? I have tried to using the search syntax to show files on the L:\ drive but have not had any luck getting that working. I need to find out if I am OK with what has been lost, or if I need to pay the pony and send the drive for professional recovery. Can anyone help me?
