Hey Guys,

Because of a constraint in the Google App Engine URLFetch API, it is
impossible to retrieve a Docs List feed with more than 100 items in
it. This is because URLFetch has a total timeout of 5 seconds... if
the fetched URL cannot be returned within that time, it throws an
exception.

If you ever want to use the Docs List API in production in a GAE
environment, this issue is critical.

See this thread:
http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Docs-Data-APIs/browse_thread/thread/e5347e8d91bb58b4/f3d790262ab79c67#f3d790262ab79c67

Anyone in the community who is effected by the issue should star item
700 in the issue tracker for GAE:
http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=700&q=timeout&colspec=ID%20Type%20Status%20Priority%20Stars%20Owner%20Summary

Let's make it clear to the GAE team that there should be no URLFetch
timeout for GData feeds!

Sam
