It seems like there are 2 different permission lists for a document? Is this true?
Let's talk about a GDoc Document... 1. On your "home" page for Google Docs, you have a listing of all of your people that have access to this document. Say there's 4 collaborators and 1 document owner. 2. If you have that document open, click the share button, and the sharing page comes up. On the right those 5 people should be there (obviously you're not able to delete the document owner). But I've experienced weird things from the front end of Google Docs and from using the API. Sometimes, if i were to try to remove those 4 collaborators from the API, the API reports back success! But if you log into your "home page" for Google Docs, you'll see that document with the 5 people still listed. So you open the document and click on the share button, and it reports back that there are NO COLLABORATORS. hmmmmm.... it seems like there are 2 separate lists going on here. If this is true, is there a way to access the other list from the API? that way at least we (developers) can check to see if the user got add to (or removed) from both lists. thanks!
