I found a bug in the spreadsheet program that's hit me a few times
now. When I use the SUM() method at the top of a column and cut and
paste that column over to a new column, the second parameter to SUM
still references the old column.

When I do this with one column alone on a spreadsheet, the parameter
at the bottom right part of the screen clearly shows that it's
referencing the incorrect column,  but the value stays correct. When I
do this with multiple columns, side by side, the incorrect value
actually shows up.
