I could use some direction in finding a way to add a new record in a google spreadsheet via text message. Ideally, the app would be able to recognize the cell phone by its internal id or cell number and also the date.
Basically trying to create a reporting tool that lets mobile service people report via text message and have data captured in spreadsheet. I worked my way through Jeffrey Schudder's youtube example at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWCLROPKug0 I remember the days of setting up databases on web servers, configuring connection strings and then writing HTML to test the reads and writes to the database. Using python to read and write to a spreadsheet seems a bit more civilized.
