from what is clear so far, submitting gadgets to the directory does not mean they'll be listed. the way to get people to load your gadget is to promote it yourself. while the submit tool's confirmation message says "your gadget will appear in the directory in 10days" its not quite accurate there. its likely that we are missing some fine print somewhere..
