Hi, _IG_FetchContent and _IG_FetchXmlContent both properly followed 302 redirection until (what seems to be) last Thursday. I'm trying to find out if this was an intentional change or not (I suspect not). Several others have reported the problem, and I've personally verified it myself, so you aren't the only one to experience this.
In the interim, I've recommended using the direct URL, if possible, but I understand this isn't always convenient. Thanks, Dan On Oct 20, 2:37 pm, Rodney <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > > I am trying to write a gadget that pulls dynamic content from a server > and then displays it. > > The call to _IG_FetchContent is not returning any data, and I believe > it is because the server I am trying to get content from is returning > a 302 HTTP response code and redirecting to a different URL. > > Can anyone confirm or deny how _IG_FetchContent should handle a 302 > HTTP response, and if it is not able to retrieve data from redirects, > suggest alternatives? > > Unfortunately, I cannot post the URL I am using, but I have confirmed > that the URL functions correctly using browsers and wget. > > Rodney. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iGoogle Developer Forum" group.
