I'm not quite clear what your issue is. What's the problem with using
the url you posted? That's what I do for all my gadgets.

Incidentally, gadget XML source is always served to end users from
gmodules.com, but Google refreshes its copy from your host every hour
or two. This is true whether a gadget is listed in the iGoogle
directory or not.
