Hi all, I'm trying to figure out the problem about submission a gadget and I'm totally lost. Yes, I read all about submitting in sticky note and all forum posts, but we have a gadget which is a live from 21 th January (http://www.meteo-si.com/pic/our-picoftheday.xml), it has between 150-200 page views per day (analytics data), but it is not in directory yet.
Why I'm confused? We made all of expected (sticky): 1."Once submitted, most gadgets will appear after there's a critical mass of people actively using them." Generally most of gadgets in the "New" category have less than 100 users, our has more than 100. 2."Syndicate the gadget on your site or blog:". We did it a month ago. 3."Place an 'Add to Google' button on your site:". We did it a month ago. 4. "Submit your gadget to other third-party directories:" Same. 5. "Generally speaking, gadget submissions must go through a complex process in order to prevent malicious, illegal, etc. gadgets from polluting the directory." I do not want to push, but - our gadget has no Ads, no malicious code, it works in canvas and mini view and it is not in the directory, but on everyday's basis I see that there is a lot of other gadgets with same picture like gadgets from one developer (it is not the only one) who claims that shows PictureOfTheDay of some stuff and there is only 2 Ads on the particular gadget. On the other hand our gadget "displays the POD based on your own choice. You may choose the exact picture (just write the web address of the picture, e.g. http://www.meteo-si.com/pic/images/laz.jpg or folder, e.g. http://www.meteo-si.com/pic/images/ to get all pictures from that folder. Use your imagination to get pictures of cars, nature, art, babes, holidays, friends and family. Use your own pictures - just copy them into the web directory. A fresh picture with every refresh. Use your or your friend's pictures or find the public directory with appropriate images. Navigation between pictures (move mouse over the top right corner shows the navigator). Thumbnail view and full screen view - click the maximize button in the upper right hand corner to view the full screen canvas. Share the gadget and its content with your friends, who are able to view and/or edit your setup, e.g. upload holiday pictures and share them with friends." and we are unable to promote it. iGoogle is a really a great platform, but I thing that the submission should improve.
