this seems simple but im stumped
i have a a html gadget going into a web page

i want to do any one of the following...

1. from my gadget get the value of a div in the host page
2. from my gadget get the value of a javascript var
3. from outside the gadget set a property of a div that is created
inside the gadget

i guess what i am trying to figure out here is how to pass things back
and forth with the gadget and the host page?

i have a gadget that pulls in a form for a google docs spreadsheet and
i want to automatically fill in some of the form elements based on
previous user actions. do i use cookies?
