Hi Marshall,

Even though ifram'ing the ad such as it is only surrounded by text
content to set the targeting is usually leading to better relevance,
this would be in violation of the term and conditions. A few months
ago, because of a change of the robots.txt on gmodules.com, AdSense
was no longer crawling the content of the gadgets, and at the same
time, the length of the gmodules.com rendered gadget URLs were
extended causing some bugs like ads in German or Chinese being
displayed to US customers. We took the action to iframe our ads to
isolate them from the gmodules.com issue, and we notified AdSense
support of what we were doing. As soon as the bug had been resolve on
their end, they required we stop the ifram'ing within the next 24h
else the account would be suspended.

I would suggest that you first contact the support to let them know of
what you are planning to do and why you are doing that. They might
help you out and find some issues on their end.

Jerome
