Hi Sam, A few additional clarifications which help you get some assistance: - How did you get the information about the 15k users on day dropping to 2k the next day? Is this from the information on the gadget directory, or from your traffic stats? - How can you tell your gadgets are only appearing in search and not in the directory browsing? With many 10k users in the directory, this is almost impossible to browse to find the low traffic gadgets other than through search. In expectation when I launch a new gadget is that my new users will come from other sites, blogs, and then from the search capability of the iGoogle directory.
If you explain the 2 points above, Dan from Google can probably have a look at some of your gadgets from the Google side and provide feedback. Just a last couple of notes: - Why do you use a gadget type html with gadget content being a single iframe to your site? This causes one extra http query when iGoogle loads which could be easily avoided with a gadget of type url. - Why do you have opensocial 0.7 requrired on http://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/wwe.xml? I guess this would make this gadget break on iGoogle (would work in the sandbox, in Orkut, and other containers, but not the production iGoogle in my opinion [I did not try though]) Thanks, Jerome On Mar 21, 10:15 am, sam mak <[email protected]> wrote: > hi jerome, > > these are the urls of > gadget,http://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/wwe.xmlhttp://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/tennis.xmlhttp://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/soccer.xmlhttp://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/bikes.xmlhttp://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/cars.xmlhttp://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/nature.xmlhttp://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/beach.xmlhttp://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/places.xmlhttp://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/funny_pictures.xmlhttp://cool.gagdets.googlepages.com/ufc.xml > > On Sat, Mar 21, 2009 at 2:03 PM, Jerome (Guru) <[email protected]>wrote: > > > > > Hi Sam, > > > This is most likely something someone at Google will have to look > > into.
