I fixed my problem. Maybe you have a similar issue.

I had my gadget registered to be located at "http://lerman.biz/
GoogleGadgets/BoneheadGadget.xml"
I had my server set to change all "lerman.biz" requests automatically
to "www.lerman.biz" requests.

I'm guessing that a perhaps a security related change was made in the
Google server to make sure requests were not redirected and so when it
asked for "http://lerman.biz/GoogleGadgets/BoneheadGadget.xml"; but
found itself at "http://www.lerman.biz/GoogleGadgets/
BoneheadGadget.xml" it refused to play. I'm just guessing.

At any rate, telling the server to allow both lerman.biz and www.lerman.biz
and not to modify the domain name specified, instantly resolved my
problem and the gadget shows up again.

So if your gadget is not actually registered to be at "http://
widgets.overheid20.nl/agenda/agenda.xml" but instead is at a different
URL which forwards to this one or changes the name to this one, or
something like this, than this may be the issue.
