Hi, I have two gadgets hosted on Google pages. Recently, the gadgets start failing "Error parsing module spec: Not a properly formatted file missing xml header" because googlepages returns: "The bandwidth or page view limit for this site has been exceeded" instead of a real xml gadget code.
Google Analytics shows more then 2,5 millions pageviews per month for both gadgets. The statistics didn't change drastically for last few months. Not sure why "bandwidth exceeded" error happened just now. Also I just learned that Google pages project is migrating to Google Sites in a month. Since Google pages were recommended hosting for gadgets and won't be supported soon, where should we place gadgets now? How to migrate gadget to a new place to keep all user preferences? Will gadgets placed on personal webpages (using "Embed this gadget") continue working when Google pages project is shut down? I can put the gadgets on my own hosting but approximate bandwidth is more 100Tb/month (~40k code & images) and it's going to be costly for me. So, one more question: some time ago, Google offered $5K grants for gadgets with 250K pageviews per week. I could use the grant to pay for external web hosting. Is the Google Gadget Venture program still available?
