I posted this message earlier, but didn't see it show up on the list;
sorry if repost. I'm also a newbie, so apologies if this is a dumb
question.

I'm trying to do something conceptually simple.
1) Show a google map in one gadget (Gadget 1).
2) From another gadget, send a message with lattitude, longitude
coordinates to Gadget 1 and have it update the location shown in the
map.

In practice, this is difficult.

I'm new to gadgets, and I've searched the tutorials. From what I've
seen:
1) this can be done if you're running in a chat session (Google Talk,
etc.)
2) using OpenSocial, but I can only update Gadget 1's stored data, and
someone has to hit "refresh" from the keyboard to tell Gadget 1 to re-
examine its data and re-draw the map.

Is there another way to do this in a more collaborative way? Maybe
everyone is waiting for Google Wave to do this?

Thanks!
